Delicious food and friendly service! Generous portions of amazing food! Dine in or take out available. I got the Mu Shu Chicken and House Special fried rice, the Mu Shu is served with a tasty brown sauce and 4 thin pancakes. The House Special fried rice is very good.

I like the shrimp fried rice here a lot. I’m not in elko much but this is one of my favorite places when I am there. Service is always friendly and quick. It’s not too expensive either.

I thought it was authentic Chinese food but it isn't. Shrimp and calamari appetizers are frozen which I could've bought and cooked myself. House Fried Rice was $10 which is a big portion with a lot of meat and is good. The other entreé is a chicken wrap which seems like chicken pieces in teriyaki sauce.

You'll never leave hungry. Enormous portions at a more than reasonable price. Great food!!

The food was decent and the service fast, but a bit sloppy. We really liked the crispy duck and the beef with broccoli. The sweet and sour pork had too much bread.

The Pho is authentic and very delicious. The huge bowl will fill you up and it’s a fair price for how much you get.

The food here is delicious, and the prices are fair. My wife has a sensitive stomach, and we've eaten here twice and she's not gotten sick either time. The staff is friendly & attentive. If you like Chinese food, I'd highly recommend stopping by Chef Cheng's, and enjoying a good meal.

The service was quick and very polite. We got our food in a respectable time and it was hot/fresh! For the quality of food, the prices are definitely reasonable. We will be going back.👍

Best place in elko county for Chinese food! The staff is so friendly, and service is pretty quick. I never have had any problems with this place, and I have lived in Elko my whole life.

Fast and food is pretty dang good. Hot-Sour soup is amazing. Funky and worn out, it actually gives the place a real "dive" atmosphere, something like you'd hope to find wandering down an alley in San Francisco or New York. If you want "Panda Express", this ain't the place...go to Disneyland. This is the real-deal classic Chinese diner.

Fresh, busy and great customer service. Definitely a return to eat. I took off a star due to the bathrooms are horrendous. Old, rusted and falling apart. Cleanliness is not a strong point here. Does not support H/C and should be brought up to code compliance and cosmetic update.

Lights out! Great Chinese food. I loved it. Spicy and flavorful Hunan style Beef, with a bunch of onions and stuff. The radish flower is a perfect complement, and all the variety of flavors I encountered were delicious.

Pretty bland food. Service was slow for an almost empty restaurant.

A good place for eat

We went to Chef Cheng's expecting to have a decent meal, but we were honestly impressed by our whole experience. Posted just inside their front door is their "Top 100 rated" poster, and they lived up to those standards. Good service, a calm friendly atmosphere, and simply awesome food truly rounded out our experience. Considering that we were only passing through Elko for the night, I can honestly say I'm impressed by the fact we found a true diamond in the rough.

Save your money and go elsewhere. I have tried Chef. Cheng's twice now and I won't return for a third. Last week we ordered lemon chicken, which was overly breaded and chicken fried rice with (with no chicken). Both of these dishes were bland, without flavor.

The food is amazing. Very wonderful flavors and the people that work here make it even better.

Very good entrees. As said below, best I had in a while. The style is not super traditional- more Americanized (lots of sauce and frying). Didn't give 5 stars because I wasn't fond of the soup...wish it didn't taste like they added gelatin. Also, the waitress forgot our crab Rangoon (circumstantial)

Food was surprisingly fantastic. Outside looks a bit tired but the service was quick and kind and the food was really great. We had the walnut prawns and the orange chicken. Both were tasty. The ham fried was was one of the best things. We’ll definitely visit again our next time through Elko.

We ate here while staying the night in Elko. Recommended by family. The restaurant has a very cool feel and look, and was clean and warm. The staff was extremely friendly, helpful, and welcoming. We enjoyed the Mongolian Beef (definitely has a kick), and the Sweet & Sour Chicken (very flavorful). Their ham fried rice is very hearty (strips of ham instead of just cubes). All dishes in the menu are a-la-carte, unless specifically noted otherwise (such as the lunch specials, and the dinner, and family combinations). Will definitely return. Two thumbs up.

We go to Chef Cheng's regularly, really enjoy their dishes and the friendly owners. The new remodel looks amazing and very modern. Well done!
